Bad Date Forgery
There is a cowboy hat whistle with the addition of the 1896 date. No sources are known but produced in the United States.
Bad Date Counterfeit Cancels
The Genuine MCB was discontinued in 1891.
The Blotch is mute and looks like a child made it.
The Mute Bars can be confused with the genuine MCB.
The CMMF shows only a partial cancel on each stamp.
The BH7-313 is the only 7 bar arranged 3-1-3.
Semicircle can appear in any corner.
