1898 Stripes Forgery
The stripes counterfeit has a few counterfeit cancels but no genuine cancels have been observed on the counterfeit stamp since it appeared after World War II!
Three attractive counterfeit covers
The official stripes cover above has many problems. There is a problem with the time stamps of posting and delivery. The circular L style cancel was introduced eight years after the posting date and was distictly different. Not to mention the PERMITASE was never used in Puerto Cortés. Very handsome try though.
